There's more than one way for a Best Man to throw a Bachelor Party!!!
The *Best* Best Man Responsibility – Planning the Bachelor Party
So you’ve been chosen to be the best man at a wedding. Well, you’ve got your work cut out for you. As the best man, responsibility will be your middle name. You’ll be the groom’s right hand man, in charge of doing everything he doesn’t have the time or the concentration to handle himself. You’ll be in charge of picking up tuxedos, wrangling the other groomsmen into position, caring for the rings, giving a speech
at the reception, and tons of other wedding details. Luckily, there is one best man responsibility that you’ll be sure to enjoy – hosting the bachelor party.
To fulfill your best man responsibility toward the bachelor party, you will be in charge of planning, inviting the groomsmen and other friends, and collecting the money or paying the expenses yourself. The groom should never be expected to pay for the bachelor party. Although most people associate bachelor parties with strippers, you might want to discuss this idea with the bride-to-be first. After all, another best man responsibility is making sure the groom actually gets married, and you don’t want to be the one to blame if the fiancé gets upset!
Some other ways to fulfill your best man responsibility of the bachelor party include going to a football game or other sporting event, planning a ski trip or a white water rafting excursion, or renting a private room at a fancy steakhouse. Although the traditional time for a bachelor party is the night before the wedding, you might want to plan it a few days earlier. Remember that another best man responsibility is making sure that the groom wakes up on time on the wedding day, and that might be difficult if you’ve both stayed up late carousing!
